Shenzhen River bordering Hong Kong and mainland China

Shenzhen River (also called Sham Chun River), flowing southwestwards into Shenzhen Bay (also called Deep Bay), serves as the natural border between Hong Kong and mainland China.

In Shenzhen, one side of the river, constructions is thickly extended to the riverside, while the land still remains very undeveloped in the Frontier Closed Area on Hong Kong side.

Along with a joint development plan between Shenzhen & Hong Kong on the Lok Ma Chau Loop (the greenbelt in center), the view in the picture may be changed soon.

The cable-stayed bridge looming on the top right is the Shenzhen Bay Bridge, namely Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Corridor, which connects Shekou of Shenzhen and Lau Fau Shan of Hong Kong.
